Happy New Year!
These flowers were so pretty, I
thought they would be a good
way to bring in the New Year.
Hoping for a year full of beauty. 

I got a new camera and I am very pleased with
the results. I am amazed at how clear everything
is and the color is pretty vibrant also. I hope to
save money on film and processing. Also I won't
have to wait to get my fil developed. I am not always
so patient. 

Another day of beauty. I was lucky to venture
out to Laguna Beach. The weather was pefect
and I spent much of my afternoon soaking in the
sights, sounds and smells of the ocean. 

I definitely had my fill of beauty today. Took a
little day trip to the South Bay Botanical Gardens
followed up by the Cabrillo Aquarium. Many sites
to see. A feast for my eyes. 

I thought of this picture today as we are about
to sail into a new year. Thinking about my
resolutions. Probably the same one I have every year.
Be less shy! Maybe 2006 will be the year? 

This one might work. Still probably better as a friendship card. 

I am still trying to work on my Christmas cards.
Someone told me they did not look Christmassy
so I am trying to make them more festive. This
would probably work better as a birthday card. 

When I was playing with this, I somehow lost
the pink color. Everything was green and it just
reeked of illness. Eventually I hit the right
button and the pink reappeared. I suppose it
all is very random. 

It is interesting with the holiday season how people
can reach out and show random acts of kindness.
Today some complete strangers helped me get
our tree in the car. At my work, other individuals
have been very generous in donating toys for the kids
that we work with. It is great to see the nice side
of individuals. 

It is funny what I actually start out with and
what ends up my final result. I guess I don't
really ever know where I am headed. This one
was really ugly to start out, but in the end
I kind of like it.
