I seem to be on a roll with my Christmas cards.
I like the red effect layered under the birds.

Just surfed into your blog while you were updating it. I like your Christmas pictures. In fact I think all of your pictures are very creative. I especially like the red one with the heron and the one below it. But my favorite one is the swans or are they ducks with the mist rising up above the body of water. I like the mist because it reminds me of a a far away enchanted
realm in another dimension or space of time. It is really a relaxing picture. And another favorite one of mine is the tiger lily at the end of the pictures, in black and white. It looks ever so soft and give off an essence that is pleasing to the eye. Hope to see more of your work.
What type of a progam/photo shop are you using???..I have a couple of photoshops but probaly need something more advanced. Anyway, thanks for sharing you creativity and dreams with us all. It is uplifting to me.

I am a 42 year old mother of two who has been doing photography since age 15.Prior to digital photography,I had a great deal of dark room experience.I used to use filters,screens and materials in the darkroom that now can be added to a photo with the push of a button. I also did hand painting on my black and white photos and used various toning effects.For now photography is my hobby. In order to get my kids outdoors and happily occupied, I spend a great deal of time exploring the southern California coastline and have shot photos from as far south as Del Mar up to Pismo Beach. I often look for beaches that are not heavily occupied or kind of hidden from the general public. We have been lucky to find some pretty pockets of paradise. In addition to beaches, I often hike through nature reserves, botanical gardens and Japanese gardens as I love plants and flowers. On the other hand, my work often has me driving through some very industrialized areas in Los Angeles, so I may get my camera out and pop off a shot of an old church, building or homeless camp. Sometimes I superimpose my images of industry onto my images of nature as a way of exposing the damage that is done to our planet.
